In the sixties, whereby our family lived in the ‘kampung’ (a malay name for village). Children living in the kampung often played together in the great outdoors. Around the kampung, one could easily find many ‘longkangs’ (a malay word for drains). On rainy days, the longkangs would be flooded and fishes (mainly longkang fish) would be found swimming in them.
As Singapore progressed and advanced in every area, kampungs are demolished and children lost the outdoors as people all moved into flats. They are cooped up at home and glued to the one-eyed monster. Many have to study very hard and most of the time, outdoor play is taken away.
At Kid’s Kampong, they are committed to preserve this authentic novel way of longkang fishing, and want every child of today to experience it first hand.

From Pasir Ris bus Interchange, Take bus service number 88 or 359.
Alight at Pasir Ris Drive 12, (Stop Number: 77261) which is the 6th stop (Include Interchange).
Walk another 7 minutes before you reach Aqua Fauna Centre.
Driving:
From TPE, exit into Pasir Ris Dr 12. Go straight till end of Dr 12, you will pass by a prominent building (SSMC Factory).
At the bend, turn left into FARMWAY 1.
